    Blueberry Smoothie Recipe
    Spread the love

Some mornings call for something quick, cold, and nourishing. This is one of those recipes I come back to again and again. This blueberry smoothie recipe is simple, reliable, and easy to make at home with just a blender. No fancy steps, no long ingredient list, just clean flavors that work every time. If you like berry-based drinks, the Strawberry Banana Smoothie is a timeless favorite.

Blueberries are one of my favorite smoothie fruits. They blend smoothly, taste naturally sweet, and pair well with both banana and peanut butter. This smoothie is thick, creamy, and filling, but it still feels light enough for breakfast or a mid-day boost. It’s also easy to adjust, whether you want extra protein, more creaminess, or a colder, frostier texture.

If you’re looking for a no-fuss smoothie that delivers on flavor and texture, this is a great place to start.

    Ingredients

Here’s everything you’ll need for this blueberry smoothie recipe:

    • Milk – 1/2 cup
Use any milk you like. Dairy milk, almond milk, oat milk, or soy milk all work well.
    • Frozen banana – 1 whole
    • Frozen blueberries – 1/2 cup
    • Peanut butter – 1 tablespoon
    • Protein powder – 1 scoop (optional)
Add this if you want to turn the smoothie into a more filling meal or post-workout drink.
    • Ice – 3/4 cup

    Directions

    1. Start with the liquid
Pour 1/2 cup of milk into your blender. Adding liquid first helps protect the blades and keeps everything blending smoothly.
    2. Add the frozen fruit
Add the frozen banana and frozen blueberries. These will form the base of the smoothie, giving it a thick, creamy texture.
    3. Add the extras
Spoon in the peanut butter and add the protein powder if you’re using it.
    4. Add the ice
Add about 3/4 cup of ice. This helps make the smoothie cold and thick without watering it down.
    5. Blend until thick and smooth
Blend on high until everything comes together. Stop once or twice to shake the blender or stir gently, then blend again. This helps break up frozen fruit and ensures an even texture.
    6. Serve right away
Pour into a glass and enjoy while it’s cold and fresh.
