A strawberry blueberry banana smoothie is one of those recipes that never goes out of style. It’s simple, balanced, and always reliable. I turn to this smoothie when I want something quick that still tastes fresh and satisfying.
The natural sweetness from the banana, the brightness of strawberries, and the deep flavor of blueberries work perfectly together. There’s no need for added sugar or complicated steps. With frozen fruit and a few pantry staples, you can make a thick, creamy smoothie in minutes.
This strawberry blueberry banana smoothie works great for breakfast, a post-workout drink, or a light snack during the day.
Ingredients
These ingredients are easy to find and simple to work with. Using frozen fruit gives the smoothie its thick, frosty texture without watering down the flavor.
- Milk
Use any milk you prefer. I personally use almond milk for a lighter taste. - Frozen Banana
- Frozen Strawberries
- Frozen Blueberries
- Peanut Butter
- Chia Seeds
- Protein Powder (optional)
- Ice

Directions
- Pour ½ cup of milk into the blender first. Adding liquid first helps protect the blades and keeps blending smooth.
- Add ½ frozen banana, 5 frozen strawberries, and ½ cup frozen blueberries.
- Add 1 tablespoon of peanut butter and ½ teaspoon of chia seeds.
- If using protein powder, add 1 scoop now.
- Add ¾ cup of ice.
- Blend until thick and smooth.
If needed, stop and gently shake the blender, then continue blending. - Pour into a glass and enjoy immediately.

Chef’s Tips
- Always add liquid first. Pouring the milk into the blender before the solids helps the blades move freely and prevents unnecessary strain on the motor.
- Use frozen fruit whenever possible. Frozen bananas, strawberries, and blueberries give you a thick, cold smoothie without relying on too much ice, which can dull the flavor.
- Don’t over-blend. Blend just until smooth. Over-blending can warm the smoothie and make it thinner than you want.
- Adjust thickness easily. If the smoothie is too thick, add a small amount of milk. If it’s too thin, toss in a few extra frozen berries.
- Taste before serving. Every batch of fruit is different. Give it a quick taste and adjust if needed before pouring.
